“Hot shoe burnin’ down the avenue”

Here’s a good sign: I have an article to edit for a class I’m taking. It’s due tomorrow. I just opened the file, because I’m a procrastinator (don’t judge me) and the topic: Manuel Noriega. Former dictator of Panama. As in, he finally surrendered after days under siege with the U.S. Armed forces outside his home blasting him with… “Panama” and some other songs. This is, of course, the most successful use of rock music as a method of combat on record.

You can’t make this stuff up.

  1. That’s brilliant. Are Van Halen (the group or individual members thereof) on Twitter? You have to tweet them that story + the kicker that you’ll be at the show tonight.
