Heart of Rock interview. Stephen Pearcy. Vocalist. (RATT).

Fleur the Kiwi

DGT&G snared a few moments of Stephen Pearcy’s time and attention backstage after RATT rocked the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA, in late January. Turns out we caught the band in one of their last shows with Pearcy at the mic.

From now until the end of time (or until too many people die for us to continue), DGT&G will be interviewing rock ‘n’ roll artists—famous, not-famous, and the vast numbers in between—and asking each the same five questions. Over time, their answers will become a repository of the heart of why people play rock music. Read on and enjoy.…

DGT&G: Why do you play rock music?

Stephen Pearcy: Why do I play rock music? Because it’s there.

DGT&G: What else could you see yourself doing?

SP: What I always do, race cars.

DGT&G: Any regrets about being a rock musician?

SP: Yeah, AA.

DGT&G: What’s your favorite part about playing rock music?

SP: [unfortunately, Stephen's answer was inaudible]

DGT&G: Who would be in your dream rock band?

SP: No one.

DGT&G: OK. Done.

Stay up to date with us by email. Don’t miss a rockin’ thing!
